Description:Small tree to about 5(-7) m tall; stems usually, hollow, leaf scars prominent. Leaf lamina to about 75 cm long and broad, palmately (3) 7-11 (-13)-lobed; petiole hollow, to about 100 cm long. Inflorescences or single flowers, staminate or pistillate, ppear in the leaf axils. Flowers fragrant; corolla greenish yellow. Fruit a fleshy berry, varying in size, yellow-green when ripe; up to 750 seeds. Seeds yellowish brown to black, about 7 mm diameter.
